What is Invisalign clear aligners?
Invisalign and other clear aligners are thin, virtually invisible, and made of flexible plastics. They are designed around a three-dimensional image taken of a patient’s mouth. That image is then used to put together a series of molds that will move teeth into their proper place.
Typically, a clear aligner is worn for 20+ hours a day and is switched out for a slightly different new aligner every week. At our Anacapa Orthodontics offices we offer both Invisalign and 3M Clarity Aligners as options for our patients as well as our fully customizable, proprietary aligner option: Anacapa Orthodontics Clear Aligners.

Traditional braces: metal brackets with colorful elastic bands are the hallmark of these braces that fit all ages and smiles.
Ceramic braces: clear brackets made of ceramic are offered along with white colored archwires making these braces nearly invisible.

Hidden braces: nearly invisible, these braces are fixed to the back of the teeth. Custom InBrace braces are a highly desirable option.
What are the different types of braces and aligners?
Invisalign and 3M Clarity Aligners may be great options for a patient who needs orthodontic care but does not want traditional braces. There are no wires, no metal, and less irritation with clear aligners and best of all, they are removable. Patients can go about their everyday habits like eating or flossing in a normal manner while still perfecting their smile.
